In our rooms we use natural and organic fibres, and Bamford toiletries made from only the highest quality natural ingredients.
As a responsible hospitality business we are conscious about our impact and the waste that we produce from our operations. All of our properties are powered by 100% renewable energy, and we have designed our stays to generate minimal waste. This includes the removal of single use items in our rooms, and our zero food waste policy ensures that we never throw away edible produce.
Our collection includes several listed buildings, some that date back to the 16th century. Great care is taken during the build phase to maintain original features and restore the character of these important community hubs. Local artisan craftspeople are employed for each project, using traditional methods and natural materials like sheepswool insulation that still meet modern efficiency standards. Our interiors team craft a bespoke identity for every room, creating beautiful unique spaces.
We recognise the importance of community and collaboration to drive positive change. Our pubs are important community hubs and we support local groups and our charity partners with training, events and volunteering opportunities. Guests are encouraged to embrace ecotourism by exploring on foot or by bike, connect with nature and engage with the local village culture.
