Strawberry Summer Cup Recipe

It is worth taking the time to let this marinate for the full two days, as it makes a noticeable difference to the final flavour.

When the drink is sipped, it feels like bottling the taste of summer, making the wait worthwhile. It is perfect for special occasions such as picnics or barbecues with friends.

Ingredients

Serves 6

1 bottle of dry white wine
30ml Maraschino liqueur
30ml Grand Marnier
70ml sugar syrup
200g fresh fruit of your choice, prepared as necessary (we like pineapple, peaches, apple, mango and strawberry)

To decorate

sliced strawberries
sprigs of mint

Combine all the ingredients in a large jug and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 2 days.

To serve, strain into ice-filled highball glasses and decorate with the sliced strawberries, lemon and orange peel and mint sprigs.
