The lush green pastures surrounding Daylesford are dotted with some of the prettiest towns and villages in England, from nearby Stow-on-the-Wold to the Cotswold ‘gateway’ of Burford.

Wandering the bridleways, farmland and cobbled streets provides a simple pleasure that’s hard to resist, but there is more to the picturesque villages than meets the eye. There are cultural and historical landmarks waiting to be discovered: from Chastleton House near Moreton-in-Marsh, and Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, to the botanical gardens in Oxford, and Greystones Nature Reserve near Bourton-on-the-Water.
Bustling markets and antiques fairs bring energy and life to the local towns and villages each week, the perfect chance to pick up souvenirs from your stay. The luxury outlet boutiques at Bicester Village are only a short drive away.

For those seeking more energetic activities, you’ll find world-class golf courses, shooting ranges and horse riding stables, while more relaxed days can be spent exploring art galleries and antique emporiums, pausing at the tea rooms and country pubs found on every corner.
