The International Supreme Sheepdog Trials represent the pinnacle of shepherding skill, bringing together the finest Border Collies and handlers from across the UK and beyond. Rooted in real farm work, the trials mirror the precision, patience and instinct required on hillside pastures, offering a rare chance to witness this remarkable partnership at its very best.
Each dog is guided through a series of tasks with a small group of sheep, responding to voice or whistle commands as they navigate the course. Points are gently deducted for faults along the way, with judging aligned to the longstanding standards of the International Sheep Dog Society, ensuring the focus remains on natural working ability.
From promising young dogs to the most seasoned champions, the International Supreme gathers all levels of expertise into one celebrated event – a highlight of the rural calendar and a tribute to the enduring craft of shepherding and the extraordinary talent of the Border Collie.
