Sustainability

Meaningful partnerships

We recognise the importance of community and collaboration to drive positive change. Our pubs are important community hubs and we support local groups and our charity partners with training, events and volunteering opportunities. Guests are encouraged to embrace ecotourism by exploring on foot or by bike, connect with nature and engage with the local village culture.

Community

We recognise the role our pubs play as hubs for their communities to socialise and network. Our teams are encouraged to use their paid volunteering days in the local area, and we continue to look for opportunities to support social and environmental initiatives.

Charities

Our carefully selected charity partners form a key part of our zero waste mission. Behind the scenes we collect electricals and even towels and bedding – all of these items are recycled by national charities who use the resulting income to fund social welfare projects.

Ecotourism

It is a privilege to be located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and we encourage all of our guests and colleagues to explore yet tread lightly in this special part of the British countryside. All of our locations are within a short walk, bus or taxi ride from a rail station, and we provide guests with bicycles to use throughout their stay. Our reception team are very knowledgeable about local places to visit, and offer local walking and cycling route maps on request.
